Tenor, Murvyn Theopolis Cannady II,
A native of Baltimore, Maryland began his musical studies at Baltimore City College High School, serving as section leader and student conductor of the choir. He was formally educated at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
Mr. Cannady’s operatic roles include “Top” in Aaron Copland’s Tenderland, “Defendant” in Trial By Jury, “Remus” in Treemonisha, with Washington Savoyards, and “Balthazaar” in Amahl and the Night Visitors. He has performed as soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël, Dubois’ Seven Last Words of Christ, and Mendelssohn’s Elijah.
He can be heard on recordings Live in Milan: Music for the World Concert, (2003) Songs of Praises, (2009) AMERICAN TAPESTRY: Our Story in Song, (2011) and Songs of Adoration, Gratitude, and Love (2012.)
His varying styles of singing have afforded him opportunities as featured soloist throughout the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area with The Community Concert Choir of Baltimore, The Artist Group Chorale, The Congressional Chorus, and Medical Music Group. Murvyn has also sung the National Anthem for the Department of Defense Biowatch Conference, Department of Parks and Recreation Annual Conference, and the inauguration of Congressman Elijah Cummings as Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus.
Murvyn is founder of, TENORE (Together Exploring New Opportunities Redefining Expectations) Inc, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire school-age African American children to pursue a career in classical music. He has been a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Incorporated since 2004.
Singer / Entrepreneur, Chloe Campbell
Chloe takes charge of her career as the owner of Free Vibe Entertainment, her own record label, while also excelling in school in special education as a behavior interventionist. Recently, she made the bold move from Texas to California to fully pursue her dream of becoming a full-time performer and recording artist. Chloe is immensely thankful for your generous donations, which empower her to continue her lessons with Tona Brown and further her artistic journey.
Soprano, Actress, Dancer, and Pianist, Khue Doung
Khue Doung is a talented soprano, actress, dancer, and pianist, sharing her gift through performances in various bands and ensembles in our community. You can often hear her captivating voice at karaoke events and see her auditioning for theater and musical productions. Supporting her journey means the world to her and to those who enjoy her performances.
